What it is
A runtime that downloads and runs open models locally with one command. Your prompts stay on your machine and there is no per-message fee.
Good for
Private drafting, summarising and coding help, and building apps on local models.
The catch
This does not replace ChatGPT Plus one for one. Local models are smaller than the frontier models, and quality depends on your hardware. We count it as a replacement for some tasks, not all of them.

Approximate US list prices for an individual plan, from third-party price trackers checked on 12 Oct 2026. Monthly billing where it exists. Regions, taxes and promotions change them.
